The Starscourge is a disease spread via bodily fluids, from what I have learned, thus if one were to kiss deeply and share saliva there would be a risk. Less so, I think, than ingesting blood, but still notable risk.
Admittedly I know little of such things. I have never held any interest in intimacy, and am barren aside, so there was no reason to seek out information. I recently had a mentor in modern medicine that made sure there was not such a large gap in my knowledge, as there is such a myriad of illness caused by intercourse, and has proved quite useful.
I explained to him the basics of immunity, and how there is a strong possibility that my own physiology might provide a means of assuring others are protected against the Scourge. But that would take time, and require his assistance, which he is not yet ready to give. He is going to consider it, so there is still hope.
Lunafreya may be wonderful, but you do not know me. Even if I am a good person, that does not mean I would be a good friend to her. I know nothing of her, nor her interests, and while I am not opposed to friendship were it well-matched, I would ask you not to hope for such a thing. If it would benefit you, I can try to locate some condoms. They are very commonplace in the time period most people of a world called 'Earth' are from. If you asked around yourself I am certain you would have success.
